Advanis was thrilled to join another large crowd for the MRIA (Canadian Market Research Industry Association) Net Gain conference. This was likely the largest audience ever for this event, as the live audience was augmented by live streaming events held at MRIA chapters across the country and at RAP college classes throughout Ontario.

The theme for the 2014 conference was Transformation. The goal was to ask the question - "Market Research is changing rapidly but into what?"

In July 2013, Lori Reiser from Advanis & Justin Yurkovich from Sprint presented to the Market Research in a Mobile World Conference. Their presentation highlighted the gains that can be made in response rates by tailoring recruitment methods, testing  different incentives, and varying survey lengths among an increasingly mobile research participant.

This past July 2013 I had the pleasure of attending and speaking at the North American Market Research in a Mobile World Conference, held in Minneapolis, USA. It was a full house, with reps from nearly 250 MR, Marketing and Technology companies in attendance. The conference was a mix of keynotes with an eye to new ways to the future of mobile in general, a clarion call that mobile is now, not the future, and some exciting ways to use mobile that go way beyond simply transferring computer based online survey to smaller screens.
